Gemini (GMNI) is an independent, self-made rapper who uses YouTube as a way to spread his music. Growing up on hip-hop, he realized his love for music and the rhythm and rhymes that came with it. Along with fellow artist Apollo, he has opened for NU'EST, YDG, Killagramz and Yung Koconut. He has taken part of a massive Korean Hip Hop festival in Los Angeles where he opened up for Giriboy, Blacknut and Swings along with over a dozen other artists. Part Two of the Hip Hop Festival was opening for Show Me The Money favorites Reddy and G2’s Universe Tour.
He is a festival favorite and has performed for several including the Chicago Korean Festival, Korean Society of Maryland Festival as well as the KORUS-Korean American Festival in Virginia. He is also a Toronto favorite having performed for several years for the Hallyu North (HANO) as well as Toronto KPop Con (TKC).
In December 2017 he performed with Nasty NADA of Unpretty Rap Star, and formerly of the girl group Wa$$up.
He performed at his most recent U.S. anime convention this year at SacAnime along with popular guest Vic Mignona. He performed alongside Japanese Artists Mirei, Mii, and Misaki.
He has gathered huge popularity on YouTube known for his remixes of Zico’s “Pride and Prejudice,” B2ST’s “Black Paradise,” Jay Park’s “Appetizer, and Big Bang’s “Loser, We Like 2 Party and Bae Bae” remixes as well as on Facebook and Instagram.
Gemini recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of his: performing in Europe. He first appeared at KBS’ K-Pop World Festival in Helsinki, Finland where he not only served as a talent judge but performed to a sold out show as well. He kicked off his 2016 European tour at Finland’s Aicon, an East Asian Music and Fashion Convention where JPop, JRock, KPop and cosplay collide. There, he performed with another sold out performance as well as a Meet & Greet with the queue leading out the door. He is infamous for interacting with his fans through his Live streams, Meet and Greets and personalized letters for each piece merchandise sold; he is always thanking his fans for supporting him and his music.
His European tour also included sold out shows in Poland where he took the time to meet with his fans, take pictures, and thank them personally for coming to his shows.
Gemini is planning to release his new album in the 2019, along with releasing new merchandise. He is also planning a 10 city U.S. tour with fellow artist, Apollo.
There are also plans to work with other Asian artists in the near future.
